History of Kaiser Food Ltd.

May 1990
The Starter Hungarian-Austrian Dry Food Producing and Trade Ltd. was founded in Mosonmagyaróvár with 3 million Ft base capital. The firm rented the Dry Food Producing Ltd of Mosonmagyaróvár, being in state property and was operated by the Animal Trade and Meat Factory of Győr-Sopron County.

1 July 1990
Starter Ltd commenced production in the Dry Food Producing Plant of Mosonmagyaróvár.

1 January 1991
Starter Ltd took on lease the meat plant in Abda from Győr és Vidéke Áfész

November 1991
Bucina Meat Trade Ltd (100 % Austrian property) was established. This Ltd, together with the owners (consisting of the workers) of Starter Ltd founded Rábahús Ltd. Rábahús Ltd took over the lease of the meat plant of Abda from Starter Ltd.

February 1992
In the scope of a press conference the new meat product brand, “KAISER”, was introduced, which was promoted by an intensive introductory media campaign.

Autumn 1992
Bucina Meat Trade Ltd purchased the meat plant of Abda.
Rábahús Ltd ended its producing activity.
Bucina Meat Trade Ltd purchased one of the pig premises of the State Model Farm of Lajta Hanság.

Spring 1993
The name of Bucina Meat Trade Ltd was changed into Kaiser Food Food Processing Ltd.

October 1993
Kaiser Food Ltd purchased the Dry Food Producing Plant of Ringa Meat Factory in Mosonmagyaróvár, as well as the state business share of Starter Ltd from Ringa Meat Factory Rt. At the same time, the firm purchased the meat plant of Abda from Győri Áfész. In the interest of the purchase, the company increased its capital.

From November 1993 on
With the fusion of Starter Ltd the two firms united under the name Kaiser Food Food Processing Ltd.

May 2002
The new slicing-wrapping factory unit was inaugurated in the plant of Mosonmagyaróvár. This is capable of satisfying the European hygienic and customer demands of the highest-level.

16 December 2002
The logistic system of the firm was renewed, the Kaiser Food Ltd established its own logistic base in Budapest. The logistic base and the fleet comprising 32 Opel Corsa Van cars serving the sales executives were given over to the team of salespeople with all due solemnity.

22 May 2003
The firm got entirely into Hungarian property. Attila Réti - through the investment Ltd founded by him - purchased the business share of the Austrian majority owner, Dr. Peter Meckovsky.

2003-2004
On the approach of becoming the member of the European Union it became inevitable to rebuild the two plants of the company. Kaiser Food Ltd gained not-to-be-refunded SAPARD subsidy of 100 million forints for the entire renovation and reconstruction of the Abda plant and 160 million forints for the reconstruction of the Mosonmagyaróvár plant. The reconstruction of the two factories occurred in accordance with the strictest regulations of the European Union, the expenses exceeded 1 billion forints. The financing of the source beyond the SAPARD subsidy was carried out by own efforts and bank credits.

3 September 2004
Kaiser Food Ltd inaugurated its completely renewed plant in Abda. Kaiser Food Ltd commemorated this event counting as a milestone in the life of the company, in a reception held in the park of the Castle Hotel of Hédervár, hosting 300 outstanding business partners.

12 November 2004
Kaiser Food Ltd inaugurated its renovated dry food producing plant, which was renewed according to the standards of the European Union.
